Anonymous tool use allowance and device recognition Visitors who are not signed in receive a limited number of free tool runs. To enforce this allowance even when ordinary browser cache or cookies are cleared, iLovePDFTools may derive a one way access control identifier from browser/device characteristics and store only hashed identifiers and limited anti abuse metadata on the server. This identifier is used for access control and fraud prevention, not to read files on your device or to expose a hardware serial number. Because web browsers intentionally restrict permanent hardware identification, this control is designed to resist ordinary cache clearing but cannot guarantee perfect device identity against deliberate fingerprint spoofing, a different browser/device profile, or major browser/system changes. Registered users receive unlimited free tool access while signed in. Managing cookies You can use browser controls to delete or block cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login and account features from working. Clearing site data does not necessarily reset the anonymous free use allowance because the allowance is enforced server side using the access control identifier described above.
